This group are looking at Public and Community Transport issues in the two villages and our connections with High Wycombe.
One of their major success stories has been the reintroduction of the evening and weekend 342 bus services between Stokenchurch and Wycombe. Usage figures have been reasonably good - but could be better.
The group also campaigned for a link to the Oxford Tube services at Lewknor. However this has been poorly used despite many residents originally stating they would use such a service!
Bucks CC have recently embarked on area-by-area review of public transport using concept of “accessibility planning”. This focuses on enabling access to health and education facilities, employment and main shopping centres, and will consider non-conventional public transport solutions. Stokenchurch and Radnage are within Marlow Local Area for this exercise, which is in the first pair of areas to be done. The group will be working to ensure our local interests are reflected in this planning process.
